Wood-fired pizzas, hearty grills and Lorraine home cooking, served beneath the beams of our tavern — on the edge of Verdun, minutes from the battlefields, with free parking right outside the door.
Our story
A tavern run by the same family since 1981
At Le Bonséjour, the wood-fired oven sets the pace from early morning. Beneath the beams, between stone walls and the great fireplace, we serve food that bridges Lorraine and Italy: crisp-crusted pizzas, Flammenkueche (the Alsatian bacon-and-cream tart), grilled meats and hearty regional dishes.
In winter you settle in by the fire; in summer, out on the veranda or the terrace. And since nobody's ever in much of a hurry here, meals tend to end with a café gourmand — coffee with a trio of little desserts.
1981Marie Moulet takes over the house — a building dating back to 1887 — and renames it Bonséjour.

At Le Bonséjour the team doesn't turn over — it gains seniority. Around Marie Moulet, the lifelong trio — kitchen, wood-fired oven and dining room — received France's long-service medal in 2018, right in front of the oven.
